Edna is the Founding Director of Zeeltbek Counselling and Wellness. She is a Registered Professional Counsellor and a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling. Edna provides therapeutic services to clients of all ages to help them identify their strengths and understand their inner experiences as it relates to themselves and others. Through an evidence-based, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, collaborative and empathic approach, she explores with clients their need for change. Her specialty is working with individuals who may be struggling with attachment issues, trauma, anxiety, stress and when the reason for the pain, fear, panic, worry is not understood. Her approach is informed by the developmental framework of attachment theory. Using an attachment-based treatment approach and her experience in the field, she supports her clients to explore connections between the past and present, work towards lasting change by providing them
corrective emotional experiences and helping them make sense of their stories.
She has 18+ years of experience in human services, in not-for-profit, directly and indirectly supporting clients who have experienced complex trauma in her capacity as Counsellor, Trainer/Presenter, Clinical Manager, Clinical Supervisor and Consultant. She is passionate to walk alongside individuals as they get on their journey to healing and growth
